The rules say that you can combine a modern archetype with a special archetype and that you cannot combine two special archetypes with each other. Is it possible to combine two modern archetypes for a character? I could see some possibilities in that regard that would make sense in terms of a character's background (such as a Radical Journo or a Thinker/Hacker).

Hmmmm.... I had considered that those sort of possibilities would just be covered by Traits, but I suppose there wouldn't be any harm in combining modern archetypes, since they're really just examples of prominent 'types' in The City. The player would just have to pick which one of the related Assets they wanted to get the 'archetype discount' on.
What does everyone else think?

Good point. Most of my experience with RPGs have been with systems where your class is a bigger factor in what you're able to do, so I'm not used to thinking of it from quite that angle.

In the end, isn't it just picking one Archetype and bringing in aspects of another? Sometimes what isn't on a sheet is as compelling as what is.
